Dolphin and Whale watching:

Kinsale waters are rich in fish bird life and cetacean like seals , dolphin , porpoise and whales. Our Wildlife tours will give you and your group a wonderfull oportunity to encounter marine wild life around the famous Old Head of Kinsale. This headland is often used as a landbased viewing spot by the Irish Whale and Dolphin Group, (IWDG).

The smaller species are around nearly all the year like seals, porpoise, dolphin, and minke whale.Filming Dolphins from HARPY

The larger species come from mid-summer through to mid winter to feed in these waters before going further south. Humpback and fin whale can be included in this grouping.

Spring time is a good time to encounter basking shark.

In the last 10 years there are more than 30 species of dolphin and whales seen in Ireland. In fact almost 25% of all whale & dolphin species are present in our waters - BUT, we cannot guarentee a sighting every day! We use hydrophones to try and locate their "clicks" and our searching methods are improving.

Whale and Dolphin  trips run only on full charter basis and take about 4 hours. (Special arrangments may be tailored to suit also.

NEW!! We are now offering WRECK TOURS by special appointment. See the wrecks of U-boats, liners, and other wrecks off the Kinsale and Cork coasts using our new ROV.
