Album of the Cork - Swansea Ferry JULIA.
After much ado between the Finnish liquidator/Finnish courts, the West Cork Tourism Co-operative purchased the JULIA in September 2009. She started into service between Ringaskiddy,Cork and Swansea,Wales in 2010.
Alas, in 2012 the company FASTNET SHIPPING was wound up - unable to source funding for another season - and the ferry was sold. The JULIA left Cork in April 2012 bound for the Netherlands. She was refitted as as a floating dormitory by Siemens to accommodate workers building and servicing offshore wind turbines in the North Sea. She was renamed "WIND PERFECTION".
