Superyacht Scout

Superyacht "SCOUT"

Probably the best Superyacht in the World, the SCOUT was built by Hakvoort, Holland in 2019 to a design by H2 Yacht Design for the HEINIKEN family. Yes, that family. However fate took a turn and she was completed for James Berwind of the American coal mining dynasty and named after his beloved dog.

The Berwind coal mining business had in the past its own shipping line of colliers to ship their product. Mr.Berwind is not just a frequent visitor to Kinsale but now has a home here too or two. An animal-lover he is also building an animal refuge here with supporting facilities.
